NorthCalc is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data practices in plain language. Last updated: January 1, 2026.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • No personal information — we don't ask for your name, email, address, social insurance number, income, or any other identifying data
  • No financial data entered in calculators — all processing is done locally in your browser using JavaScript; your calculator inputs never leave your device and are not sent to our servers
  • No account creation required — use all our tools instantly with zero sign-up, no login, no authentication

Information We May Collect Automatically

Basic server logs: Our web servers may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamp for security and uptime monitoring only. These logs are retained for 30 days and never shared or sold.

Privacy-friendly analytics: We may use privacy-respecting, GDPR-compliant analytics tools (such as aggregate page view counts and referral sources) that do not identify individual users or track your activity across sites.

Cookies

NorthCalc does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not integrate third-party ad networks or analytics that place persistent cookies on your device.

We may use a strictly-necessary, temporary session cookie to maintain basic site functionality (such as remembering your language preference or navigation state). You can safely disable cookies and NorthCalc will still function normally.

Third-Party Services

We do not share your data with any third parties, and we do not sell your data under any circumstances.

If we display advertising in the future (for example, through Google AdSense or similar services), those third-party services may use cookies or pixels subject to their own privacy policies. In that case, we will update this privacy policy to disclose that clearly.

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

  • Access any personal information we hold about you (we hold none)
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent to collection and use of your information
  • Receive a copy of this privacy policy

Children's Privacy

NorthCalc does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post any updates to this page with a new "Last Updated" date, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
